This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and used when you visit miclikz.com.
1.Who We Are
The miclikz.com website is operated by Charles Boswell, a sole proprietor based in Texas doing business as MiClikz (“MiClikz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit miclikz.com (the “Site”), and the choices and rights you have.
2.Definitions
- “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with an identified or identifiable individual or device.
- “Cookies” means small text files and similar technologies stored on your browser or device.
- “Service Provider” means a third party that processes information on our behalf, such as our hosting and analytics providers.
- “Brand Sites” means the separate websites, profiles, and apps linked from the Site.
3.Scope and Brand Sites
The Site is an informational hub that links to our brands: Zamanox, Samanthx, ThotGoss, LeashBee, and Plot Twist. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. Each Brand Site, and any third-party platform we link to (such as X or music streaming services), has its own terms and privacy policies, which govern your use of it. Plot Twist is covered by the Plot Twist Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies.
4.Information We Collect
The Site does not offer accounts, sign-up forms, comment features, or sales, and we do not ask you to provide Personal Information on the Site. We collect information automatically, as described below:
- Usage and analytics data collected through Google Analytics, described in Section 5; and
- Server log data collected by our hosting provider, described in Section 6.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, which we use only to respond.
5.Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), under measurement ID G-ZY90QQ39J2, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses Cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and collects information including:
- page views, the pages you visit, the referring site, and the time and duration of your visit;
- outbound link click events, which record the name of the link you click (for example, “zamanox” or “plottwist”) and its destination URL;
- approximate location (such as country, region, and city) derived from your IP address; and
- device and browser information, such as device type, operating system, browser, screen size, and language.
We use this information in aggregate to measure traffic and improve the Site. Google processes this information under its own policies. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking or deleting Cookies in your browser.
6.Hosting and Server Logs
The Site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (“Netlify”). When you visit the Site, Netlify’s servers automatically record standard log information, such as your IP address, browser type and user agent, the requested URL, the referring URL, and the date and time of the request. Netlify uses this information to deliver the Site, maintain its security, and prevent abuse, and processes it under the Netlify Privacy Policy.
7.How We Use Information
- to operate, host, and deliver the Site;
- to measure and understand Site traffic and which links visitors use, in aggregate;
- to maintain the security of the Site and prevent fraud and abuse;
- to respond to messages you send us; and
- to comply with legal obligations.
Where the law of your jurisdiction requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, measuring, and securing the Site, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where it is requested.
9.No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell Personal Information, and we do not share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We disclose information only to our Service Providers (Google and Netlify) for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the Site, our visitors, or our rights.
10.Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no uniform standard for these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. You can limit analytics collection using the opt-out tools described in Section 5.
11.Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, contact us at hi@miclikz.com and we will delete it.
12.U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right, subject to applicable exceptions, to:
- know and access the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom it is disclosed;
- delete Personal Information we have collected from you;
- correct inaccurate Personal Information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of Personal Information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell or share Personal Information or engage in targeted advertising; and
- non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
California disclosures. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information through the Site: identifiers (such as IP address and online identifiers stored in Cookies); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as page views and link clicks); and approximate geolocation. We collected them for the business purposes described in Section 7 and disclosed them only to our Service Providers. We have not sold or shared Personal Information.
To exercise these rights, email hi@miclikz.com. Because we do not ask visitors to identify themselves, we may be unable to link analytics or log data to you; we will explain if that is the case. We will respond within the time required by law, and you may appeal any decision by replying to our response.
13.Data Retention
Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured for the Site’s Google Analytics property, which does not exceed fourteen (14) months for user-level and event-level data; aggregated reports may be kept longer. Server logs are retained by Netlify according to its policies. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to respond and for our records.
14.Security
The Site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we rely on the security measures of our Service Providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15.Data Location
We are based in the United States, and information collected through the Site is processed in the United States and in other locations where our Service Providers operate. By using the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to the United States.
16.Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this location and update the “Last Updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law.
17.Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where the laws of your place of residence require otherwise.
